Frequently Asked Questions
What types of patients do you see in your office?
Our patients range in age from infants to elderly and are treated for many different ear, nose, and throat conditions. Our physicians provide medical as well as surgical services.

What insurances are accepted at your office?
We are contracted with most insurance companies, including those listed here. If you do not see your health insurance on our list, please call your health insurance and/or our office to determine if we are an in-network provider.

Do I need a referral from my health insurance company to see the doctor?
That depends on your personal health insurance plan. If you are uncertain, simply contact your health insurance company directly, and ask them if you are required to have a referral to see a specialist physician.

How can I contact your office?
Generally, it is best to call our office directly with your questions, however, it is possible to request an appointment and to contact our office for billing questions via email. Please understand that we are unable to answer any medical questions via email.

Do you perform x-rays or any other radiology in your office?
No. If your doctor feels that it is necessary for you to have a radiology (x-ray) test done, we will obtain authorization from your health insurance company and help you schedule that appointment at a time and place that is convenient for you.

What types of surgeries and procedures do your physicians perform?
Our physicians are board certified, and are trained in performing many different types of surgeries and procedures specific to the ear, nose, and throat, as well as the head and neck. Our physicians’ primary focus is on the treatment of medical conditions, so the majority of the surgical procedures that are done are for medical reasons, rather than purely cosmetic concerns. Some cosmetic procedures, such as rhinoplasty or otoplasty, are done on a case by case basis.

How does the surgery and testing scheduling process work?
First, our surgery and testing coordinator will obtain any authorization needed from your heath insurance company. This authorization process can take from a few days to more than two weeks to accomplish. The authorization process and time required depend on your specific health insurance.

Where do you perform your surgeries?
Most of our surgeries are done at Clear Creek Surgery Center, which is an outpatient surgical facility located in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Our physicians also operate out of Lutheran Medical Center, and occasionally St. Anthony North.

If I am seen for a problem with my ear(s), will I be able to have audiological testing at the time of my appointment?
Yes. Our Audiologists provide audiological evaluations to our patients at the time of their appointment.

Do you sell hearing aids?
Yes. You can call to schedule a hearing aid evaluation. At the evaluation, our licensed Audiologists will evaluate your hearing loss and your lifestyle to help you determine which, if any, hearing aids are right for you.
